Construction workers across FL are essential for building and rebuilding our communities yet in South FL a new report released today: Construction workers are facing rampant wage theft, health and safety violations, and poverty pay. Every 4 days a construction worker dies on the job in Florida. Workers are standing up to demand better. Alongside WeCount! and a coalition of community partners, we have launched a Community Benefits Agreement Campaign to ensure that essential workers and residents are protected on a proposed $3 billion redevelopment project in Little River and Little Haiti. Last Sunday, Bradesco Bank had the honor of attending Catalyst Miami’s “Catalysts for Change” Founding Members appreciation event. Invited guests spend an exclusive, intimate evening at the home of Catalyst Miami’s founder Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and Robert Cava. As a founding member, it was a privilege to join Catalyst Miami and other community leaders to engage in meaningful discussions about the organization’s journey and future impact. With profound gratitude we thank Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, Robert Cava, Zelalem Adefris, the Catalyst Miami Team, and all the Catalysts for Change Members. The unwavering support of these individuals has enabled Catalyst Miami to grow their impact supporting frontline communities in Miami-Dade County.
