The Summer Youth Internship Program (SYIP) wrapped up its ninth year, connecting high school students from 10th-12th grade with employers for a five-week summer internship. The excitement continued with part two of the TCT Summer Games! Last week, Trust staff showcased their music trivia skills online, and this week we brought the competition to the office with games like Pictionary, Uno, A Minute to Win It, and a Scavenger Hunt. It was a day full of laughter, teamwork, and friendly competition as our teams went head-to-head with the Operations and Technology Design Solutions Team crowned as The Children’s Trust 2024 Summer Games Winner. Congratulations! Thank you to The Trust's Sunshine Club for organizing this fun event. We can't wait for next year's games! #WeAreTCT #TCTSummerGames #TeamSpirit #FunAtWork

On Monday our Blind Babies Program hosted Parents Playgroup Music Day with sensory games. We used ukuleles to introduce music concepts such as rhythm and melody to our blind babies, with the help from parents, instructors, and special guests from the Lions Club. 💛🎵 In the photos you'll see our special light-up ukuleles that glow bright in the dark, making them visible for our visually impaired participants who are partially blind. 💡 Together, we prove it's possible to see without sight. 💙 #MiamiLighthouse #BlindBabiesProgram The Children's Trust of Miami-Dade County Florida Division of Blind Services Lions Clubs International To learn more about our Blind Babies Program and to sign up, visit https://lnkd.in/eP87CVKH Check out the video clips from this special playgroup on our Facebook here - https://lnkd.in/ekdqtiUa #MiamiLighthouseAcademy #MiamiLeaders #CommunityLeaders #HelpingtheBlind #SupporttheBlind #AccessibleClassrooms #InclusiveEducation #SensoryGames #MusicEducation
