We are excited to share that CEVR has received a grant from RWJF to examine step therapy requirements for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) treatments. This project is the first to link the #SPEC Database with Virginia’s all-payer claims data, allowing us to assess the time it takes patients to access prescribed treatments, and the factors that influence this timeline. Additionally, we will explore the connection between step therapy protocols and treatment denials. This project is part of RWJF and AcademyHealth’s “Health Data for Action” program, which provides researchers access to key databases to advance important research.  More details available at: https://lnkd.in/eJP_WYrb
