About us

Children’s Health Council (CHC) is a nonprofit agency that has been providing best-in-class learning and mental health services to families in our community for 70 years. We envision a world where everyone can reach their promise and potential. Our mission is to transform young lives by providing culturally-responsive best-in-class learning and mental health services to families from diverse backgrounds regardless of language, location or ability to pay. We offer programs for ADHD, Learning Differences & Executive Functioning, Anxiety, Depression & Suicidality and Autism through our schools, education programs, clinical services, robust community education programs and curated online resources. Our goal is to raise awareness, build partnerships, reduce stigma and ensure that no one ever feels alone.

  • CHC’s Ravenswood program is ecstatic to welcome three new practicum students for the 2024-2025 year. Ilana Hayutin (entering 3rd year PGSP – Stanford’s PsyD program) Emily Thompson (entering 2nd year at University of San Francisco’s MFT program) Alexandra Rosseau (entering 3rd year at Palo Alto University’s PhD program) We are excited to see all the wonderful work and collaboration they will bring to our community!

  • Joining us this year as our SteelMike halftime speaker is SF 49er legend, Pro Football Hall of Famer, and founder of the Forever Young Foundation, Steve Young! Steve’s foundation is dedicated to spreading hope and providing resources for the development, strength, and education of children. We are incredibly grateful to have him at SteelMike as we work together to advocate for and support teen mental health in our community. Slots are still open for players to join.   • Our Ravenswood Partnership had the opportunity to attend the Ravenswood Family Health Center Community Health Fair 2024! The event was filled with live entertainment, fun activities, raffle prizes, and resources such as fresh groceries and vision screenings.
