  • City of Appleton welcomes Cathryn Cofell as its FIRST Poet Laureate. ✍️ At tonight's event at the Scheig Center, Cathryn shared her original poem "Appleton: A Love Story," while Poet Sarah Gilbert read "The Library" by Ellen Kort. Ellen Kort’s family also unveiled a rendering of the poem, which will be displayed in the new library. A wonderful evening celebrating poetry and community! Appleton Public Library
