We're continuing our celebration of Hispanic & Latino Heritage Month with our recognition of Clara Azcunes de Ojeda, Chamblee's first Hispanic City Councilmember. Clara Azcunes de Ojeda was elected during a special election on March 16, 1999. She then ran unopposed for the same City Council seat in the November 1999 election, where she served from January 1, 2000 - December 31, 2004. #HispanicHeritageMonth2024

He is responsible for the planning, organizing, and implementation of cultural programs and initiatives for the Chamblee community. To kickoff Hispanic and Latino Heritage Month, we're recognizing our Police Chief Michael Dieppa. Chief Dieppa has been with the City of Chamblee since October of 2023. Before coming to Chamblee, he served 27 years at the Miami-Dade Police Department. As Chief of Police, he's been a true leader in leading all activities, operations, and personnel of the Chamblee Police Department.
