An illustration of our mission. Literally.
Creating this painting for Climate Changemakers was so special. I go to their local Hour of Actions in Brooklyn and they have built such an incredible community of people taking climate action. Building power starts small, with our own civic participation, and expands when we start taking action together in community. 🌱 Invite a friend. 🪴 Show up to an action event. 🌳 Form an action team! They host both in-person and virtual hour of actions every week! Get involved here: https://lnkd.in/dc6D4UMf

💡 Answer: A tiny team of state regulators who have both the power to address methane leaks AND a mandate to care… 💡 Question: What is a Public Utility Commission (PUC)?! YES! 👉 And as concerned members of the public, we don’t need to get toooo deep in the wonky weeds—it’s the commissioners’ jobs to propose the best technical solutions, we just need to contact them and urge them to deliver results. Do that here: https://lnkd.in/eB-S5zFM Or learn more about PUCs x methane leaks here: https://lnkd.in/ewBqzPyU Since utility companies are not acting in the public interest when it comes to methane leaks, PUCs are well within their authority to step in! #EnergyRegulation #UtilityJustice #MethaneLeaks #ClimateAction #CleanEnergy #PublicUtilityCommission
