👏 VIRV goes global! Check out VIRV's recap of their time at the GSE Expo Europe: "At GSE-Expo we also learned that the scope of depth of need for electrification of airport ground support equipment is far bigger and wide-reaching than we imagined." -VIRV Nicholas Holland Christa Zaharias Events such as these help our founders expand their audience and impact to a global scale. Stay up to date with VIRV's journey through Linkedin VIRV, Instagram (@VIRVLLC) and their website: www.VIRV.io. VIRV is bringing a swappable battery as a service platform to ground support equipment in aviation. With VIRV's BaaS platform infrastructure barriers are broken down, capital expenditure is minimized resulting in an increased adoption of electrified industrial vehicles.
Attending GSE Expo Europe was truly an enlightening experience. Perhaps the most surprising (yet also validating) takeaway is that it reinforced why we do what we do. WHAT WE DO is create innovative technology that directly impacts transportation and logistics efficiencies, moving us closer to a clean energy transition. WHY WE DO IT? It’s more than building a viable product and successful company, it’s connecting with like-minded people in the industry. We exchange ideas and share an energy that we all take back and use as fuel... scratch that… we use to recharge our mission and keep moving forward. At GSE-Expo we also learned that the scope of depth of need for electrification of airport ground support equipment is far bigger and wide-reaching than we imagined. We understood the pain points in the US, but with so many people from the EU, Africa, Asia and beyond nodding their heads and confirming similar bottlenecks and challenges – we know that VIRV is also on to something far bigger and wide-reaching than we imagined. Swappable Battery as a Service (Baas) landed squarely in the wheelhouse… scratch that… the driver seat, of the ground support equipment and airline industries. Connect with us as our story gains momentum and picks up speed across the industry, and the globe. Follow us on Instagram: @VIRVLLC Visit our website: www.VIRV.io w/ Nicholas Holland and Christa Zaharias Thank you Elayne Cronin, Ph.D. of Capital Energy for the action shots! #Ditchthecord #GSEEurope2024 #BaaS #BatteryAsAService #SwappableBatteries #eGSE #GSEElectrification #AirportInnovation #AirportElectrification #VIRV

A global Climate tech convergence ClimateHaven! A couple weeks ago, we had the pleasure of hosting the #ClimateCollider cohort from Switzerland at our innovation hub in New Haven. This meeting and tour culminated in a practice-pitch session with Konstantine Drakonakis, PE from Connecticut Innovations. Founders from the following companies pitched on the ClimateHaven stage: GraphEnergyTech: Better electrodes for silicon and perovskite solar panels Freesuns: Solar roof tiles BCHAR: Coconut tree-based biochar Inverto Earth: Digital twins of ecosystems using drones and e-DNA 8inks: Multi-layer coatings for more efficient batteries KIDEMIS: Replacing fish-based food with lower-carbon substitutes Thank you to making Swissnex in Boston and New York and AdvanceCT for making ClimateHaven a stop on your tour!
✳️ The first week of #ClimateCollider, the startup exchange program powered by #Swissnex and Innosuisse, wrapped up last Friday, and what a journey it’s been! 💡 Monday kicked off with a deep dive into Swissnex's activities, followed by expert sessions on US incorporation and hiring with STAMINA LAW and TriNet. The startups then sharpened their pitch skills at a workshop with BostonSpeaks before showcasing their solutions alongside six US startups at the Climate Innovators Café to an audience of researchers, corporations, founders, and investors. 👥 Tuesday brought invaluable face time with eight US entrepreneurs who shared candid insights on navigating Boston's dynamic #climatetech ecosystem. In the afternoon, the cohort got a tour of Greentown Labs and took part in meetings with the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, ACT | The Alliance for Climate Transition, and the City of Boston. 🌐 Wednesday was all about the Transatlantic Cleantech Summit, hosted by EIT InnoEnergy, connecting the startups with even more cleantech leaders across from Boston and beyond. 💭 Thursday challenged the cohort to think outside the box in a brainstorming session on overcoming key challenges. They then had the chance to practice and refine their pitches with invaluable feedback from investors. 🌱 Friday saw the cohort venture to #NewHaven, Connecticut, where they connected with ClimateHaven, AdvanceCT, and Connecticut Innovations before wrapping the week up with a visit to the Yale Center for Business and the Environment (CBEY). ✳️ It’s not over yet! The #ClimateCollider startups are in #NewYork this week for #ClimateWeekNYC. Incredible kickoff to New York Climate Week! Thank you to Jodi Susman and Jacob Susman for inviting me on behalf of ClimateHaven to take a seat at the Cleantech Leaders Roundtable dinner in NYC. Loved dining with the extraordinary group of cleantech and climate tech leaders like table-mates Al Subbloie of energy-efficiency company Budderfly, Laura Hickernell, David Magid and Omar Khaleel who reconnected me with my middle school buddy Zachary N. Goldstein. Both speakers spoke truth to power. CTLR’s new CEO, Ann Davlin's opening remarks were followed by an energizing speech by Dr. Vanessa Z Chan, Chief Commercialization Officer and Director of the Office of Technology Transitions at the DOE. Thank you! (Now back to #climateweeknyc)
