Meet Leon Baade, founder of 8inks, one of the #Swissstartups participating in #ClimateCollider, the startup exchange program powered by #Swissnex and Innosuisse. The transition to renewable energy means electrifying everything. In order to meet the world’s 2030 climate targets, the IEA projects that global energy storage will need to increase sixfold, and that #batteries will deliver 90% of that growth. But existing battery coating solutions limit production throughput, efficiency, and cell performance. They can't keep up with the rising demand and requirements as production scales up and new materials and designs are introduced. 8inks is reimagining #electrode manufacturing by introducing multi-layer curtain coating for batteries, leaving current production limits behind. Their process simplifies battery production, quadrupling production output and unlocking next-gen designs and materials, enabling batteries to reach their full potential at scale.
