CHAS Health is aware of the recent news that an unaffiliated dentist was practicing in the Deer Park community and created an unsafe infection control environment. This provider never worked for CHAS Health or at any CHAS Health clinic. CHAS Health patients who saw Dr. Montano at his private practice and are concerned about their infection risk can visit their home clinic for the appropriate laboratory testing. Community members who are not CHAS Health patients are encouraged to contact their primary care provider. If they do not have a primary care provider, most urgent care locations offer the appropriate lab tests. SRHD has provided details about specific tests in a Q&A document: https://ow.ly/fk1k50Tr89u
