📣 Energy Allies is thrilled to share our Lesson’s Learned from our first community-led solar project in Boston, MA. ☀ For the past 3 years, Energy Allies has been organizing a grassroots effort with a coalition of individuals, businesses, and other non-profits to create an equitable and just transition to a clean energy economy in environmental justice communities in Boston. This document includes how Energy Allies got started with this work, how we engaged community members from the start and the challenges we faced. We also share the impacts from our work, which includes the creation of a fully independent Boston Community Solar Cooperative and the development of their first solar array. ☀ We are so proud of this work and are grateful to everyone who has helped us along the way, most especially our Community Advisory Board.
