Our team had a chance to make it out to the beautiful Devils Lake, ND to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Shores Events Center. The project milestone is yet another step that Woodland has taken to transform Devils Lake into a premier destination in North Dakota. The project team didn’t just show up to celebrate the milestone in the resort’s expansion, they dove headfirst into the outdoor experience that Devils Lake is famously known for. BIG congratulations to the Wisconsin Institute of Plastic Surgery on their groundbreaking last week! Dr. Sauerhammer and her team are so excited to get this project started (and completed) thanks to the help of Consolidated Construction Co., Inc. - her dream started 4 years ago, with the goal of creating a surgery center that provides "personalized, innovative, and high-quality care." Did you know? Dr. Sauerhammer is the youngest graduate EVER of University of Wisconsin-Green Bay AND the University of Wisconsin Medical School! She is also a former Miss Wisconsin and second runner-up to Miss America, and she was a member of the team that performed the first full-face transplant in the country. WOW! Last week, four of our team members took time out of their busy schedules to golf in the annual Golf for Wishes Outing, hosted by Make-A-Wish Foundation. Not only did they enjoy a fantastic day on the course, but they contributed to granting life-changing wishes for children facing critical illness. In honor of the upcoming Olympic summer games, our staff members took time to compete in the first annual CCC Summer Games in conjunction with our second summer cookout. Our office Olympians participated in musical spoons, an egg & spoon race, and a sponge relay. Everyone enjoyed the friendly competition on a beautiful summer day! Last week, we were honored to be a sponsor of the NDCEL Summer Conference. At the golf outing, we connected with leaders in North Dakota education and partnered with Bismarck Soft Serve to offer an ice cream sundae bar to the golfers. After a great day on the course, we sponsored the NDCEL Steak Fry and sent everyone home with steak and barbecue sauce. Thank you, educators and administrators, for all you do!
