I am looking forward to moderating this panel for the Common Health Coalition on November 21st at 3 PM on "Accelerating Health Impact Through Greater Coordination". I had a fantastic time last week at the NASTAD HIV and Hepatitis Technical Assistance Meeting co-presenting with Grace Lee Parr Lee Parr on the critical role public health departments can play in expanding equitable access to HIV prevention services, like PrEP, through community pharmacies. I'm so proud to share that Sara Zeigler and I were interviewed for a Safer From Harm piece "Building Pharmacy Linkages to HIV Prevention and Care." This article really speaks to something deeply important to me: ensuring that everyone, no matter where they live or what barriers they face, can access the services and care they deserve. After all, health and healthcare are a human right. Pharmacies can play a key role in transforming how people receive HIV prevention services—by being more accessible, reducing stigma, and linking people to essential care. Last week, Courage Forward Strategies, facilitated an action planning meeting of 40 public health, equality, and advocacy leaders in Georgia to discuss how to expand access to HIV prevention services across the state. The event, convened by the Elton John AIDS Foundation and Georgia Equality, and hosted by Positive Impact Health Centers, focused on expanding access to HIV prevention services and linkage to care through community pharmacies. Representatives from across the state discussed how to strengthen partnerships and effectively create an environment that expands and sustains HIV prevention services in pharmacies, including access to PrEP and PEP.  We look forward to continuing to collaborate with partners to accelerate efforts to meet the U.S. goal to end the HIV epidemic by 2030. #HIV #Pharmacists #EndtheHIVEpidemic.  Elton John AIDS Foundation Georgia Equality Positive Impact Health Centers
