From the perspective of CSA we know that when working with autonomous robotics, trust is crucial. If users do not have confidence in our robots or the engineers behind them, it undermines the collaborative work environment. Recent happenings, including challenges with Boeing, can attest to this. Boeing's recent engineering challenges, including the 737 MAX crashes and 787 Dreamliner defects, highlight a shift from an engineer-centered culture to a financially driven one post-1997 merger. This shift has eroded public trust in the company's commitment to quality and safety. Engineering remains one of the most trusted professions, underscoring the need for a return to prioritizing high standards and integrity in engineering practices to restore and maintain public confidence.
