Crow Holdings’ investment management and development activity in the Dallas-Fort Worth area last year has landed us in the top spot of DBJ’s largest commercial real estate developers in North Texas, ranked by square footage. Thanks to the teams and partners who helped make it happen -- and who continue to help us grow the hometown of our headquarters with industrial, multifamily, and specialty sector spaces.
Companies with ties to the Crow family swept the top two spots on DBJ's latest list of North Texas commercial developers.

“When we incorporate natural elements into the architecture, we are creating a workspace that enhances the well-being of everyone who steps inside. We have created a warm, inviting atmosphere that promotes comfort and productivity making this space more than just a place to work, but a place to thrive.” – Crow Holdings Development Senior Managing Director Cody Armbrister The CHD office team cut no corners with the Offices at Southstone Yards, but they did recently cut the ribbon, officially opening the largest mass timber office building in Texas alongside valued partners, trusted lenders, talented design teams, enthusiastic city officials, and more. “This occasion marks not just the unveiling of a new structure but the beginning of a new era in workplace wellness and innovation where the inherent connection between people and nature can exist,” Cody added. The 242,000-square-foot, seven-story property has been attracting attention, awards, and acclaim since the project began. Ken Valach Jim McCaffrey Scott M. TCR's Allora project in Raleigh, North Carolina is not yet complete, but the team recently welcomed new guests — a herd of landscaping goats provided by North Carolina-based and female-owned business The Goat Squad! Letting goats do what goats do best is an environmentally friendly solution to an intractable problem: the invasive and fast-growing kudzu plant. Left unattended, kudzu can take over the landscape in an area, outcompeting grass, shrubs, and even trees. In just 20 weeks, the goats eliminate kudzu from a property and prevent its regrowth in a way mowing cannot. After the process is completed, the 20-acre Allora development site will boast improved visibility and an enhanced entrance thanks to the help of The Goat Squad. Check out the photos from the site below. CHD’s Emily White and the whole team – humans and herd, alike – look forward to delivering the newest Allora property in the region in the coming months.

“The government is putting a lot of money out there and stimulating some parts of the economy, but for right now, we have had good growth. For the real estate market, that means the growth has offset some of the declines in value we have seen.” Mark G. Roberts, CFA, AIA, Director of Research, recently spoke with Samantha Rowan at PERE Credit to discuss how the US multifamily sector could provide insights into the Federal Reserve’s next moves as the US central bank works to balance its efforts to fight inflation. Crow Holdings Development’s Southstone Yards has officially opened! Located at 4401 Cirrus Way in Frisco, the 242,000-square-foot, seven-story property serves as the largest mass timber office project in Texas, marking a significant milestone for the commercial construction industry. “This is a fantastic product, and we believed in our ability to do it without downsides,” said Managing Director Jim McCaffrey with Crow Holdings Development in a recent Bisnow article. “We wanted to do a building that is on par with the nicest buildings in the market, and it’s mass timber. We don’t want anybody to have to make any sacrifices.” Learn more about the property, as well as the benefits of mass timber construction in Bisnow's article here: https://lnkd.in/dkdsKpek.
