JCF has finalized its agreement with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for its Clean Communities Investment Accelerator (CCIA) program, part of the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund. The agreement solidifies JCF's workplan in preparation for the EPA’s distribution of CCIA funds, which will enable JCF to deliver investments that will help revitalize and build resiliency in under-resourced communities. Please plan to join us for the 2024 Sustainable CT Awards Celebration on November 13 at the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center in Old Saybrook. We'll be honoring all of our 2024 certified towns and a brand new cohort of Climate Leaders. We'll also be celebrating FIVE YEARS of Community Match Fund success! The Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center is a non-profit performing arts organization located in an historic theater/town hall on Main Street in Old Saybrook. Originally opened in 1911, the building is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The center includes a 285-seat theater that presents works in music, theater, opera, dance, comedy, film, and a variety of children’s programming. The Katharine Hepburn Museum, located on the first floor, is the only museum of its kind honoring Katharine Hepburn, Old Saybrook’s most celebrated resident. Exhibits feature costume and personal wardrobe items, photographs, home movies, awards, and other memorabilia.
