The 2024 Agricultural Relations Council annual meeting is in the books! A few Curious Plot team members had the opportunity to attend and learn about trending industry topics alongside other Ag PR industry professionals. Here’s a snapshot of what we learned: 👑 Authenticity reigns supreme. Whether it is a social media campaign or website content, consumers want more than a message about an effective product. 73% of Gen Z consumers are looking for a creator who recommends products based on experiences and values. They want to hear about the product from an authentic, trustworthy and relatable source. 📱 AI is here to stay but not to replace Ag PR professionals. In fact, AI can serve as our trainer, our employee and even our co-creator. When used responsibly and when you give it the right tools to succeed, AI can boost your creativity and unlock opportunities. 🏆 One thing is certain: if you’ve been around in the Ag PR industry long enough, you’ve surely run into Daren Williams. During Daren’s induction into the Ag PR Hall of Fame, familiar faces from throughout the years shared anecdotes about working with Daren. One common Daren-ism came up over and over again: “PR is no substitute for doing the right thing!” In good times and bad, agriculture industry players must be proactive and intentional in their PR strategy.
