Arup Paul, a Senior Instrumentation Control Technician at Dublin San Ramon Services District, is not just dedicated to the technical side of wastewater treatment but also passionate about giving back to his community and protecting the environment. With a background in PLC programming, Arup's role automates water and wastewater processes, ensuring efficient operations. His journey into the wastewater field began while working with a consulting firm in the Caribbean, where he discovered a passion for environmental sustainability. Today, he’s committed to making a positive impact on both the planet and his community. Arup also volunteers with CWEA as a subject matter expert, helping develop resources for E&I certification candidates. His belief? Training is crucial for both current and future water professionals to confidently tackle the challenges of the field. When asked what he loves most about the industry, Arup shares: "It's a service to both the community and mother nature.
