Did you know? According to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's 2019 Youth Risk Behavior Survey- lesbian, gay and bisexual youth are over 4 times more likely to attempt suicide than their peers. The Trevor Project also estimates that more than 1.8 million LGBTQ+ youth (13-24 years old) will seriously consider suicide each year in the U.S. Stand in solidarity with us tomorrow during World Suicide Prevention Day for those who have been affected or are at higher risk of suicide. Your attendance at our LGBTQIA+ Suicide Prevention Vigil at The Wild Detectives will help show community strength and resilience. RSVP for a candlelit evening of awareness, support and powerful personal stories from mental health professionals and community members. 🔗6:30PM-8:30PM RSVP Here: https://lnkd.in/gKYfP_et #LGBTQIA #SuicidePrevention #CommunitySupport #HopeAndResilience #DallasEvents #MentalHealthAwareness

🌟 Early Giving for North Texas Giving Day starts TODAY! 🌟 Meet Angela! Angela’s journey is one of incredible resilience. After coming out to her single-parent mother, she faced immediate rejection and was forced out of her home. With nowhere to go, Angela spent nights couch-surfing with friends and even sleeping on the streets. One terrifying night, while seeking refuge in an abandoned building, Angela was brutally attacked, leaving her with both physical and emotional scars. But Angela’s story didn’t end there. She found hope and support through Dallas Hope Charities. Through our Transitional Housing Program, Angela received not only a safe place to stay but also career coaching, counseling, and most importantly, acceptance. Today, Angela is on a path to success—working toward her Associate's Degree and dreaming of a bright future where she can inspire others with her story. Your donation can help more LGBTQIA+ youth like Angela find safety, support, and a brighter future. 💜 👉 Start giving now: #linkinbio 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gVG6YNUu #NTxGivingDay #GiveHope #DallasHopeCharities
