The 2024 State of Homelessness report is showing tremendous progress in Dallas and Collin Counties. While disparities in gender and race persist, in 2024, our community saw decreases across all populations in the number of neighbors experiencing homelessness. Dallas and Collin counties were among the small group of communities that reduced homelessness last year, while national rates increased. Housing Forward and the All Neighbors Coalition's next big milestone is a 50% reduction in unsheltered homelessness as compared to 2021 levels. We can do this through a $30 million public-private investment to maintain the pace that has led enabled us to house more than 10,100 individuals since 2021 and a targeted "Street to Home" approach in our public spaces. #DallasHousingForAll

Thank you, Shelterforce, for showcasing our journey and recent successes since our launching in June 2023 around a affordable housing bond campaign. For too long, Dallas has lacked a unified voice for housing advocacy, and we are proud to have filled that gap. While securing $82 million for housing in the 2024 Capital Bond and helping ForwardDallas garner political and community support on the way to its passing, this is only the beginning. Check us out and join our movement at dallashousingcoalition.com! #DallasHousingCoalition

🗳️ Today is the LAST DAY to register to vote in time for the November 5 general election. In this The Dallas Morning News piece, DHC member Ramiro Luna of Somos Tejas points out North Texas neighborhoods are caught in a “vicious cycle” that often leaves them overlooked, under-resourced, and underrepresented. The first and most effective step we can take to break this cycle is getting people to the polls.
