This past weekend, Depaul USA—Arkansas hosted its 2nd Annual Evening of Jazz fundraiser event. Some 300 local sponsors, donors, and supporters joined in celebration and danced all night to live jazz music by The Grady Nichols Band, The Jonathan Karrant Trio, The Rodney Block Collective, and, headliner, Cyrus Chestnut. Thank you to everyone who attended and donated to the event, to Arkansas director, Carol Miles, Pine Bluff director, Chris Taylor, to all of the musicians who performed for us, and to each staff member and volunteer who helped make this event has beautiful as it was. September kicked off the beginning of events season for Depaul USA. Check out what Depaul USA accomplished in September… 📍 Los Angeles wrapped up its second fall fundraiser, a golf tournament, raising $30,000 combined. 📍NYC Director, Mel Reyes, and Depaul Group CEO, Mark McGreevy, represented Depaul USA at the St. John’s University Vincentian Convocation. 📍The entire Depaul Group met virtually to reflect on this year’s theme: celebrating the potential of people. 📍During Hurricane Helene, Macon’s Daybreak remained open to operate as an emergency shelter. 📍St. Joseph's House engaged in a Day of Service by welcoming students to assist with enhancing the facility.

Yesterday, DPUSA—New York city director, Mel Reyes, represented Depaul USA at the St. John's University Vincentian Convocation. Joined with her was Mark McGreevy, Depaul Group CEO. While connecting with other Vincentians, faculty, and alumni, Mark McGreevy received the International Medal for his leadership in the Group and work of the Famvin Homeless Alliance and its 13 Houses campaign—providing housing to individuals all around the world.
