We were excited to see USAID Senior Deputy Assistant Administrator, Bureau for Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance (#DRG), Sheryl Stumbras spotlight some of the learning products we've developed over the last year during yesterday's USAID Local Capacity Strengthening (#LCS) DRG Forum. USAID's DRG Bureau is uniquely placed to be a leader in the agency's locally led development efforts because its work often focuses on individual and community needs, making it inherently connected to this approach. The products we've developed under the USAID Swift Expertise and Grounded Analytics (SEGA) mechanism capture the Bureau's learnings over the years with the objective of supporting development stakeholders in their journeys to better enable locally led development. World Teacher's Day is tomorrow! 🍎 Teachers play a crucial role in creating inclusive classrooms where every student feels welcomed, valued, and empowered. Their dedication to fostering a safe and supportive learning environment is essential for building a more equitable future. 👩🏫 We are proud to support teachers and schools around the globe. In #Morocco, under our USAID-funded Morocco Inclusive Teacher Training Activity (MITTA), we train teachers on bilingual deaf education and Moroccan Sign Language. 🌐 And in #Colombia, #ElSalvador, #Haiti, and #Honduras, we work with teachers, students and other stakeholders to identify enablers and barriers to inclusive education, as highlighted in our @USAID-funded Inclusive Education Landscape Assessment. 🎒 We couldn't do this work without the help of exceptional teachers who work tirelessly to inspire and shape the minds of tomorrow. Thanks for all you do! 💪 Find out more here: 🔗 MITTA: https://lnkd.in/eJrtqf6M 🔗 IEALA: https://lnkd.in/dS6y6hHR #WorldTeachersDay #EducationForAll #InclusiveClassrooms

DevTech is proud to have supported the Critical Minerals Forum in organizing this important event. Investing in #criticalmineral production is a cornerstone of our nation's economic and #nationalsecurity. By securing a reliable domestic supply chain and forging strategic partnerships abroad, we are safeguarding our technological advancements, creating sustainable jobs, and reducing our reliance on potentially hostile foreign powers. Congratulations to the Critical Minerals Forum on their official launch!
Today we officially launched the Critical Minerals Forum, a coalition of miners, processors, investors, and end-users to make smart sourcing, offtake, and investment decisions with the benefit of transparent pricing, supply, and demand forecasts provided by DARPA, during the Inaugural Summit Oct. 1-2 in Washington, DC. There are six Critical Minerals Forum founding members, including Applied Materials, EVelution Energy, Ramaco Resources, Inc., TechMet Ltd, and Volkswagen Group. At the inaugural summit, coalition partners and CMF members are engaging in panels with officials from U.S. government agencies and foreign governments; roundtables with think tanks and U.S. government on pricing and market support mechanisms; and demonstrations of the cost, price, supply, and demand models. For more information on Critical Minerals Forum or to become a CMF member/partner, please visit www.CMForum.org. This powerful new article published on CUBANET NEWS INC by Rolando Alum and DevTech founder Jorge Sanguinetty, explores the tragic consequences of a long-standing political experiment that has kept the island trapped in a cycle of authoritarianism, repression, and economic failure. The article delves into how the regime's manipulation of history has shaped the country's present and questions what the future holds for the Cuban people. The failed economic policies of the Cuban government have long been evidenced by economic indicators, including data from our Actual Cuban Exchange Rate Dashboard, which tracks the price of exchanging Cuban pesos for U.S. dollars or Euros on the black market and has uncovered spiraling inflation. 🔗Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/evv_zuys 🔗 Access the DevTech Actual Cuban Exchange Rate Dashboard here: https://lnkd.in/eHBQkd-3 #CubanEconomy #HumanRights #Freedom#Cuba #BlackMarket

DevTech Systems, Inc. reposted this
USAID EGSA, implemented by DevTech Systems, Inc., is closing in a month and now it feels more real than ever. On September 30 we published the final edition of the Bi-weekly Economic Monitoring, an internal publication designed to inform #USAIDIndonesia and USG partners on the latest economic development nationally and in select priority regions. It was started in April 2020 (thanks to Fararatri Widyadari who developed the first edition) to update readers on what was happening with the economy when people have to stay put at home, and it has evolved so much for the next five years. The infographics attached outline the changes we made over the years. After 132 editions, we're saying goodbye to our readers. My deepest gratitude to EGSA team over the years that have put their best efforts to make the publication as it is. Muhammad Arditya Rindimajangga, Galuh Maharani, Sarah Sullivan, I cannot be more proud of the final edition you've created. Thank you!

The launch of the Partnership for Global Inclusivity on AI (PGIAI) at the 79th Session of the UN General Assembly represents a significant commitment from both the U.S. government and leading tech companies like Amazon, Google, IBM, Meta, Microsoft, Nvidia, and OpenAI to leverage AI for sustainable development. While the $100 million commitment is a positive step, it's crucial to examine how these resources will be allocated and whether they will address the core challenges faced by developing countries. Access to AI tools, building technical capacity, and expanding local datasets are indeed necessary components. However, without addressing the underlying issues of infrastructure, governance, and economic disparities, the impact may be limited. It's also important to consider the potential risks of deploying AI technologies without robust regulatory frameworks in these regions, which could exacerbate existing inequalities or lead to misuse. At DevTech Systems, Inc., we've observed that effective AI integration requires not just technology transfer but also strong partnerships with local stakeholders, investment in education, and policies that promote transparency and accountability. We hope that PGIAI will prioritize these aspects to ensure that AI serves as a tool for genuine progress rather than a superficial solution. https://lnkd.in/e4cMKfg7 #AIforDevelopment #SustainableDevelopment #TechEthics #UNGA #PGIAI #InclusiveInnovation
