After participating in DMGroup’s Academic-ROI Institute, district leaders at Boulder Valley School District (CO) decided to apply the Academic-ROI methodology to redesign the process for setting central office budgets. Focusing on data-driven decisions, BVSD undertook an Initiative Inventory to catalogue initiatives across 56 schools, understand their fully loaded costs, and analyze how well programs are aligned to the district’s current stated priorities. This information helped district leaders assess where to focus investments in support of priorities in the future. Read the case study: https://hubs.ly/Q02MBl6m0

Since 2019, US public pre-K-12 school enrollment has dropped by nearly 1.2 million students and continues to drop, impacting district budgets, initiatives, infrastructure, and staffing. Why are students and their families leaving public schools, and how can we get them back?
