Check out our project updates from October! ✔ Project Update #1: See below photos and renderings from this past October’s ground-breaking event of the state-of-the art Panati Playground project located in the Allegheny West neighborhood of Philadelphia. The additions and renovations will include the demo and construction of a new 5,700sf building that will include a community kitchen, makerspace with a standalone recording studio, indoor half-court basketball court, refurbished outdoor basketball court and lighting, and new camera security system. This project is made possible by Rebuild PHL - they are investing hundreds of millions of dollars into neighborhood parks, recreation centers, and libraries. Addressing years of deferred maintenance and lack of investment, Rebuild PHL is reviving the community spaces that residents rely on, and communities thrive in. We are aiming to have this project complete by the fall of 2025. Thanks to Rebuild PHL, council member Cindy Bass, PA State Rep Roni Green, Senator Sharif Street, the Allegheny West Foundation, city officials and community members for helping to celebrate this event. Architect:  CICADA Architecture/Planning, Inc. ✔ Project Update #2: This past October, we also had a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Tiffany Fletcher Recreation Center, formally known as the Mill Creek Recreation Center. The renovated center was created in honor of the late Tiffany Fletcher who was an employee at the center. A gun battle broke out at the center in September of 2022 and Tiffany was caught in the crossfire while trying to get away from the scene. Councilman Jamie Gauthier quoted “My goal and our entire community’s goal is to ensure that young people don’t fall into the cycle of violence, and that we don’t lose people like Tiffany, and that we don’t lose people to incarceration.” The renovations to the center included replacement of the exterior windows and doors with bullet resistant glass, repairs of the fascia, gutters and downspouts, replacement of the interior doors and ceilings, new computer and storage rooms, new MEP systems, new exterior paint, and all new finishes throughout the building. Throughout October, we are celebrating Careers in Construction Month #CICM – the goal is to increase public awareness of construction careers for both men and women and inspire the next generation of professionals. Throughout this month, we will be spotlighting employees from our different departments to share their career story in the construction industry. Project Update! Check out the below incredible video that shows the progress and transformation of our Rivermark Northern Liberties project in Philadelphia! We were engaged by Delaware County’s Haverford Properties Inc. and Virginia-based Jefferson Apartment Group to redevelop the former 9-acre Festival Pier on the Delaware River. The redevelopment of the site will include 45,000 SF of retail space, two mid-rise buildings that will accommodate 470 multifamily units and brand-new public space including a plaza, splash pad water feature, art installations and an extension of the Delaware River Trail.   We're excited to be working with an incredibly talented team on the project: Delaware River Waterfront Corporation, CBG Building Company and Bernardon Special thanks to Elevated Angles LLC for helping us put together the below video!

Project Update! Daniel J. Keating Company was the successful bidder for the brand new state-of-the-art Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) Wissahickon Transportation Center in Philadelphia. Once completed, this project will provide much needed improvements to the transit system allowing SEPTA to extend and add routes providing bus riders easier access to work, school and other activities throughout the city and surrounded counties. We are excited and honored to bring this project to life and we look forward to another successful project working in collaboration with SEPTA. We anticipate this project to be complete by summer 2025. In honor of Labor Day, we would like to recognize the resilient and hardworking men and women workers today and throughout generations.  We remember and honor their sacrifices and achievements. We hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday and enjoys the last day of summer!

Project Update! Daniel J. Keating Company was the successful bidder for the Samuel S. Baxter Basins 3 & 4 Water Project located in Northeast Philadelphia. Owned by the Philadelphia Water Department, these two additional tanks will serve to pull and treat water from the Delaware River to supply approximately 58% of the city’s water supply. Fun fact – the size of the two tanks combined is roughly the size of 4 football fields! We are aiming to have this project complete by June 2027. Check out some of the progress photos below!
