Dominion Energy recently announced an agreement with Amazon to help advance potential Small Modular Reactor nuclear development in Virginia. I had the pleasure of joining Shannon Kellogg, Secretary Caren Merrick, Greg Cullen, J. Clay Sell and Kevin Miller at Amazon HQ2 in Arlington to announce the agreement. This agreement is a great step forward in Dominion Energy’s commitment to advancing this technology and providing reliable, affordable, increasingly clean energy to our customers. Robert Blue did an excellent job discussing the agreement in this CNBC interview. Watch > https://shorturl.at/aHEZA

For those who know me, they would not expect me to write a post about golf! But, after spending the weekend at the Dominion Energy Charity Classic, I decided it was time... Each year, the tournament recruits more than 1,000 volunteers; contributes more than $1 million to local charities, including veterans organizations; and is a major regional economic development driver -- $35 million annually in Henrico County. But it’s about more than those things. It’s also about the players and their stories. And Tim Oneal's story is inspiring. On Sunday at about 5 p.m. ET, in his 50th PGA TOUR Champions start, Tim had claimed his first win – and it was a big one. The event is part of the Charles Schwab Cup Playoffs, and his 2-shot victory meant he’s going to continue to the next round of the playoffs, and, more importantly, he’s earned his full exemption to play the 2025 Champions season. Tim is a Savannah, Ga., native and graduate of Jackson State University, an HBCU in Jackson, Miss. He was a promising young player – Georgia state amateur champion in 1997 and winner of 16 tournaments at Jackson State. But for the past 25-plus years he has been grinding it out on professional golf tours in far-flung places around the world. He didn’t play in his first PGA Tour event until he was 42, and, two years ago, at 50, got his chance on PGA TOUR Champions through qualifying school. After his win, Tim was asked, “Gonna give you a word, you give me your definition: Perseverance.” He replied, “You’re looking at it.” Tim O’Neal is indeed the embodiment of perseverance – and he couldn’t be friendlier or more humble or gracious. Congratulations, Tim! #DECC #perseverance

Today we announced we will explore advancement of Small Modular Reactor (SMR) nuclear development alongside Amazon in response to growing energy demand in Virginia. We have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Amazon to explore innovative new development structures that would help advance potential SMR development to provide more reliable, carbon-free power in Virginia. By working with Amazon, we are mitigating potential cost and development risks for customers and capital providers. As power demand in the Commonwealth grows by more than 5% annually, we continue to develop an all-of-the-above approach, including investments in offshore wind, solar, battery storage and natural gas. Over the past two weeks, #Helene has challenged our crews and employees with some of the most severe damage we've encountered in decades. To the 446,000+ customers affected by Hurricane Helene, we deeply appreciate your patience and support as we worked 24/7 to restore power to every customer. A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated crews and team members who have been on the frontlines and behind the scenes serving their neighbors and communities across South Carolina. Your tireless effort and commitment are inspiring. 💙
