North Coast Harbor’s $4.99 million refresh is making significant progress toward creating a safer, more equitable, and enjoyable waterfront experience for all visitors. This investment supports Mayor Justin M. Bibb's Reimagining Downtown Cleveland plan, which prioritizes connecting our lakefront to the urban core and improving overall connectivity and accessibility.   Downtown Cleveland, Inc. continues to work with the city to coordinate and communicate park construction logistics as we are responsible for managing, programming and promoting the City of Cleveland-owned properties at North Coast Harbor. In the coming weeks, crews will be working on pavers, light poles, and the stage at various locations throughout Voinovich Park. These updates will have minimal impact on the park space.   Additionally, construction for the Lone Sailor monument has begun. Please note that the northwestern corner of the park will be closed for the next couple of months while this construction is underway.   For updates visit: https://lnkd.in/gdx5zhq5

Downtown Cleveland, Inc. is excited to announce that we are taking over the management of Public Square. Last week, Cleveland City Council voted to transfer the management, maintenance, and programming responsibilities for the Square to our organization. In assuming these responsibilities, we will build upon the strong foundation that the Group Plan Commission has laid over the last decade. This transition directly supports Mayor Justin M. Bibb's Reimagining Downtown plan to transform the city center from a traditional 9-to-5 central business district into a welcoming 18-hour, 15-minute neighborhood.    What the community can expect: high quality maintenance, streamlined permitting, improved safety deployment, and new programming for the Square. In August alone, we are producing over 50 public programs, including free fitness classes, weekly live music, artisan markets, food trucks, volunteer cleanups, and a daily game borrowing station.    Learn more in the linked article: https://lnkd.in/gPwmSu4d

Downtown Cleveland, Inc. continues to support Mayor Justin M. Bibb's A Home for Every Neighbor Initiative. The City of Cleveland - City Hall, with the support from our Outreach Specialist, has successfully housed the individuals who were residing in Canal Basin Park. Additionally, our Clean and Safe Team has removed trash and abandoned belongings from the area. This program, drawing on best practices from other cities across the country, highlights the Bibb Administration’s commitment to improving conditions for the unsheltered community. Below are before and after pictures of the area.
