🗂️ DT Global has a proud history of operating in the #Philippines since 1974, working across various sectors, including #education, #EconomicGrowth, #governance, #law and #justice, #health, #gender and #SocialInclusion, and #PrivateSector #development. 🏢 Recently, DT Global's CEO, Torge Gerlach, and Head of Asia, Danielle Alford, visited the Manila office to meet with our program teams based in Manila, including the DT Global-managed ASEAN-ACT Program Team, and our client representatives to discuss development priorities within the region. Had a great opening day yesterday at #MSS2024 with my DT Global colleagues participating in sessions on Strengthening Food Systems Resilience, MSD in Thin Markets, and Emerging Implications of AI on MSD. USAID Zambia Business Enabling Project COP Carianne de Boer spoke on the Food Systems Resilience panel about how DT Global has facilitated public-private dialogue platforms to encourage policy reform that more rapidly responds to the dynamic nature of the agrifood system by allowing apex private sector organizations to advocate for policies that will address constraints and unlock systemic growth. Looking forward to Day 2! #MarketSystemsDevelopment #WeAreDTGlobal #PublicPrivateDialogue #PolicyReform

From bailiffs and closed businesses to an #InclusiveTaxPaymentPlan and #IncreasedGovernmentRevenue, our USAID Zambia Business Enabling Project (BEP), has transformed district-level business environments. We’ve achieved this by facilitating private-public dialogue (PPD) to close communication and collaboration gaps and put local leaders at the forefront of policy reform. Our latest blog uncovers the reasons behind the communication and compliance barriers businesses face with taxation at national and local levels in #Zambia. It also highlights how USAID’s BEP project is addressing these challenges. For example, PPD platforms offer opportunities to explain, listen, and co-create solutions to the problems faced by both parties. This leads to a more conducive business environment that benefits both the #PublicSectors and #PrivateSectors. Check out the full article, and BEP’s plans of co-creating a PPD toolkit here https://lnkd.in/dcg95Jdc #WeAreDTGlobal #PublicPrivateDiologue #BusinessGrowthInZambia #BEP

🏝️🚧 On October 2nd, the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) and DT Global, alongside partners SAEDI Consulting and Trintoplan Consultants Limited, hosted a virtual workshop marking the successful completion of our project using the Climate Resilience Index (RSRI) to assess the #RoadTransport sector in CDB's Borrowing Member Countries. The project aimed to integrate gender-sensitive climate change and disaster resilience measures into the road transport sector across 16 Caribbean nations. The RSRI tool evaluated vulnerable road infrastructure, assessed capacities to implement climate adaptation measures, and identified strategic opportunities for enhancing resilience. Throughout the project, we engaged local and international experts across engineering, gender, social development, and climate vulnerability. Our collaboration with key institutions from each country ensured a comprehensive approach to tackling climate risks. Our findings and recommendations will guide strategic investments that enhance climate resilience and sustainable development across the Caribbean. 🌱🌎 The Caribbean Development Bank’s participating Borrowing Member Countries included: 🇦🇮Anguilla, 🇦🇬Antigua and Barbuda, 🇧🇧Barbados, 🇧🇿Belize, 🇻🇬British Virgin Islands, 🇩🇲Dominica, 🇬🇩Grenada, 🇬🇾Guyana, 🇯🇲Jamaica, 🇲🇸Montserrat, 🇰🇳Saint Kitts and Nevis, 🇱🇨Saint Lucia, 🇻🇨Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, 🇸🇷Suriname, 🇹🇹Trinidad and Tobago, and 🇹🇨Turks and Caicos Islands. #ClimateResilience #SustainableDevelopment #GenderSensitive #WeAreDTGlobal #CDB #caribbean #ClimateAdaptation
