A big thanks to Payson City and Brian Hulet for hosting another incredible economic development golf tournament at the beautiful Gladstan Golf Course. This hidden gem in Payson is a great place to take in Utah’s stunning fall colors, especially on the back nine.

News from an EDCUtah Investor: Delta Air Lines will launch its first-ever direct flight from Salt Lake City to Asia in June 2025, connecting Salt Lake City (SLC) to Seoul-Incheon (ICN) with daily, year-round service. As the fourth-largest Delta hub, Salt Lake City International Airport offers 250 peak daily departures and industry-leading connection times. This event is sponsored by Salt Lake City Corporation, Salt Lake County, Utah Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity, and the Center of Excellence for Economic Development & Opportunity (The Center). Thank you to EDCUtah Founder member, Rio Tinto for taking our team out to the Kennecott copper mine in the Oquirrh range. Rio Tinto’s extraction of copper and other minerals is critical to supply chains across the state and country and helps drive our economy forward. Employing 2,500 employees, we’re lucky to have a partner to mine and smelt important minerals in the state.

EDCUtah was honored to attend the event at Salt Lake City International Airport celebrating the completion of the new river tunnel to the B Terminal! Salt Lake City Council Member Victoria Petro highlighted the incredible opportunities that ongoing economic development, like the airport's growth, brings to all Utahns: 'to bring prosperity to every Utahn.' Congratulations as well to our partners Big-D Construction and Delta Air Lines for their contributions to the airport's expansion.
Life is best viewed through blue-colored glasses. That's what they say, right? 😉 Last weekend, SLC hosted the "Blue Tie Gala," to celebrate a milestone in #TheNewSLC construction: Completion of The River Tunnel by Artist Gordon Huether. The event marked the fourth anniversary of The New SLC-Phase 1 opening. The Central Tunnel opens October 22 as part of Phase 3, which includes the Concourse B mini plaza, new restaurants and shops and five new gates.
