  • 🎧 “It was my first time with dual enrollment, it was kind of a new ground for me. And understanding how it worked was a bit hard, but I was able to learn how it worked, which elevated my experience.” –Horatio Dual enrollment isn’t just about earning college credit in high school—it’s about expanding opportunities and breaking barriers. Yet, students of color remain underrepresented in these programs. This #DualEnrollmentWeek, we’re uplifting student voices to highlight the impact of dual enrollment as a racial equity strategy. 📌Presenting: EdTrust’s #SaveOurStudents Advocacy Toolkit The Trump administration’s efforts to dismantle the Department of Education pose a serious threat to public education. As advocates, we know that these unprecedented actions will result in devastating and irreversible harm to our students, communities, and country, both in the short and long term. Without federal safeguards, students of color, students from low-income backgrounds, and other underserved student populations will face increased disparities in access to a high-quality education. As we also know, public education is the backbone of our communities, economy, and democracy. Every student — no matter their background, race, disability, primary language, immigration status, identity, or economic circumstances — deserves to pursue the American Dream. So, what comes next? We must mobilize and organize. That’s why EdTrust has created an advocacy toolkit to help you push your local leaders to protect students and public education. We also have an interactive map of what each state stands to lose once they lose critical federal funding and other resources to help you with your advocacy efforts. Together, we can protect public education and #SaveOurStudents. Access the toolkit here: https://edtru.st/3RenUaV

  • For many students, dual enrollment is the first step toward college success. But not all students have equal access to these opportunities. That’s why we joined United Way of Greater Los Angeles to create a toolkit designed to make dual enrollment more accessible—especially for students of color. Because every student deserves a pathway to college: bit.ly/3Fta2aa Let’s close the gap. Let’s uplift student voices. Let’s take action. #DualEnrollmentWeek
