💰 Exploring the use of innovative finance in education 🏫 As the global education community gathers for the 2024 Global Education Meeting this week to assess progress on SDG4, a major focus will be on strategies to boost investment in education and scale innovative financing strategies. To support this effort, we’re resharing two blogs exploring the use of outcomes-based financing in education. These blogs capture insights from a learning group on innovative finance in education, co-facilitated by the Education Finance Network and The Education Outcomes Fund. Strengthening learning and knowledge sharing around innovative financing is essential to scaling the effective use of these tools, and we hope the blogs contribute to that conversation. See key messages below, and read the full blogs here: 📊 Piecing together the measurement puzzle: Experiences from Outcomes-Based Finance programs in education: https://lnkd.in/e-mNVzsq 🌄 Many paths up the mountain of strengthening systems through Outcomes-Based Finance: https://lnkd.in/evbiVF4u #LeadingSDG4 #EducationFinance #InnovativeFinance

After attending key side events during #UNGA79, our project manager, Inês Charro, shares insights from discussions featuring several Education Finance Network members. 🚸𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐚𝐩: A roundtable hosted by @ECDAN emphasized that despite the critical role of early childhood education, the global financing gap remains at USD 21 billion annually. Initiatives like the The Education Outcomes Fund’s outcomes-based model and The Brookings Institution's Childhood Cost Calculator aim to bridge the funding gap and make the best use of resources. 🌍𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐠𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭: A session hosted by Atlassian Foundation featured Forte, British Asian Trust, International Finance Facility for Education (IFFEd), and The Education Outcomes Fund, sharing innovative models tackling unemployment and improving education for children and young people across Africa, Asia, and beyond. 🤖 𝐀𝐈 𝐢𝐧 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Another session hosted by Atlassian Foundation explored how AI is transforming learning and teacher development. While challenges like AI bias and the digital divide remain, strategic partnerships can unlock its potential for scaling education solutions globally. #EducationFinance #InnovativeFinancing #AIinEducation
