We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Robert Riley to the role of Chief Scientific Advisor for Egg Medical. Dr. Riley is currently the Director of Cath Labs, Interventional Cardiology, Complex Coronary Therapeutics, and MCS/ECMO Programs at Overlake Medical Center & Clinics in Bellevue, WA, and specializes in the care of patients with complex and high-risk coronary artery disease and cardiogenic shock. Dr. Riley spent 5 years at The Christ Hospital Health Network in Cincinnati, OH where he served as Director of the Complex Coronary Therapeutics Program before taking his current role at Overlake Medical Center. Dr. Riley is active in clinical research and co-edits a monthly international newsletter on high-risk PCI. “I am pleased to accept the role of Chief Scientific Advisor for Egg Medical. Radiation safety is extremely important to me given the associated health risks for interventional physicians and staff. Egg Medical is the leader in the growing field of radiation protection with its EggNest™ Radiation Protection Systems, which not only protect everyone in the room, but do so without interrupting the workflow of busy interventional labs. In this role, I look forward to improving radiation safety for physicians and staff across the globe and working with Egg Medical to continue leading the industry in radiation safety research and technology.” Dr. Riley received his Medical Degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, and then completed his Fellowship in Cardiology as well as a Master’s Degree at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He completed both his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship and a Fellowship in Complex, High-Risk & Indicated Percutaneous Coronary Interventions & Advanced Hemodynamic Care at the University of Washington - School of Medicine of Medicine.
