We have a new release—OpenAI doesn’t do it, Anthropic doesn’t do it, Writer doesn’t do it, and certainly not the hundreds of other AI startups. Powering LLM apps with your data is the key to immediate value from AI. So, of course, every AI platform is saying they’re integrated with the entire SaaS ecosystem. But customers should be wary: it’s not about integrations a mile wide, it’s about going deep. What does “We’re integrated with ____” really mean? Today we’re releasing Datasource Folders, which lets our users connect an entire folder (e.g., from Google Drive) as a datasource. This reduces friction between having an idea for an app and delivering value. Most importantly, and this is one of the major differentiation points, our Database Folders syncs live. Add new files? Updated. Changed that row in a spreadsheet? Updated. You just keep using your app. Where this really begins to take off is in the interplay with our Intelligent Search feature. People don’t always know how to ask the right questions with AI. And sometimes they don’t know the right data to access. Our Intelligent Search feature supercharges queries from users. We run an internal LLM, it takes the prompt or question from the user, and it connects you to the right data from all the sources you have connected. What does that mean? It means you don’t have to think or test as much as you would with ChatGPT, Claude, Writer, and others. You can take a more maximal approach, a faster approach — ”just connect all the data, and let the intelligent app figure it out.” This reduces a key frustration point with LLMs, AI, and RAG.
