The first-ever San Quentin Film Festival was the brainchild of Emerson Collective Fellow Rahsaan Thomas, who was formerly incarcerated at San Quentin, and Cori Thomas, a longtime volunteer in the San Quentin Media Center. Rahsaan Thomas works to ensure the creative community inside the prison has access to professionals and opportunities on the outside. He is not only amplifying incarcerated voices, but challenging society’s assumptions about people in prison. https://lnkd.in/dCr6-XJ6

Imagine energy so inexpensive and abundant that everyone would have it. Commonwealth Fusion Systems will use tokamaks to generate fusion energy. Fusion is emissions-free and can release 7 million times more energy than fossil fuel—yes, 7 million more times. CFS power plants could be the last new energy source the world needs. Explore their story in Positive Sum, an Emerson Collective publication, online: https://lnkd.in/eCHUbFXE
