Green gas is adaptable, storeable and home-grown, insulated from Putin. Its key net zero role is because it can be stored both in caverns, and used in winter to power heat and light. By contrast, solar yield collapses. Wind often does not blow. Hydrogen is expensive. And batteries cannot economically shift energy from July to January. Net zero needs green gas."
