About us
The Engage Dallas leadership program is designed to activate and empower Dallas County leaders by educating them about the rich history of Dallas and highlighting the numerous opportunities available to make a significant impact. Through our program, participants gain valuable insights, personal connections, and skills, enabling them to contribute meaningfully to Dallas leadership and the city's development and betterment. HOW WE DO IT ‣ Leadership Program: Accessible and affordable, our program bridges economic and cultural divides and prepares leaders to make a real impact ‣ Civic Engagement: We connect alumni and class members to city, state, and federal government systems to support engagement in civic service opportunities and create pathways to service on local boards and commissions ‣ Network Building: Our program helps to expand professional networks and activate effective, informed leaders WHY WE DO IT ‣ Impact: Our program provides leaders with a deeper understanding of city, state, and federal systems, with a focus on Dallas ‣ Passion: We help cohort members find or deepen their passion for serving the community ‣ Community: Participants join a tribe of fellow leaders who remain connected and continue to support each other beyond the program OUR HISTORY Engage Dallas was founded in 2012 as the Mayor’s Star Council. Trey Bowles and Mike Rawlings, former mayor of Dallas, established the leadership program to help leaders between the ages of 25 and 40 learn how to make an impact in our community.
