⚡ENGIE wins a new concession to build and operate around 1000 km of transmission lines in Brazil. ENGIE Brasil won Lot 1 at the Brazilian Electric Energy Agency auction and earned the concession to implement and operate around 1000 kilometers of transmissions lines and 2 substations, located in the 5 states in southern Brazil: Santa Catarina, Paraná, Minas Gerais, São Paulo and Espírito Santo. 🔋 ENGIE reaches more than 1.8 GW of Battery Energy Storage Systems installed capacity in the U.S., of which 1 GW added since January 2024. Since the beginning of 2024, the Group added around 1 GW of new BESS capacity to its operating portfolio in North America. Summer is over, and it was a busy one for ENGIE! Over the last months, thanks to the commitment of our teams, we have continued to make progress in all our activities. Among the major highlights: 🔋 In our Flexible Generation & Retail activities, our teams have accelerated the deployment of #Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), enabling us to add 1 GW of battery capacity in the United States since the start of the year and to reach 2.3 GW of installed capacity worldwide. ⚡ In #renewables, the first wind turbines are now in commercial operation at our Serra do Assuruá #wind farm in Brazil. Once commissioned by the end of 2025, it will comprise 188 turbines and have a total installed capacity of 846 MW. 🏭 In our Energy Solutions business, we signed a joint business development plan with Danone to accelerate the decarbonisation of 13 of their factories in Europe and in the Americas by replacing fossil fuels with #renewable energy sources for the production of heat and steam for industrial processes. ♻ We also made progress in our infrastructure activities, with our teams injecting the first green hydrogen at the Manosque storage site, paving the way for hydrogen storage. ✅ The ENGIE Global Energy Management & Sales teams also continued to strengthen ENGIE's leadership position in PPAs by signing a 10-year contract with Coca-Cola Europacific Partners to meet CCEP target of using 100% renewable electricity across its Australian operations by 1 January 2025. Accelerating the #EnergyTransition, paving the way for tomorrow's energy system, continuing to decarbonize our activities and those of our customers - these are the actions of our 97,000 employees. 👏🏼 Well done to our teams! #WithENGIE
