Today, we celebrate and honor #IndigenousPeoplesDay. We are proud to stand beside and behind our Tribal housing partners in their work toward economic self-sufficiency and self-determination. Earlier this year, Tribal, government, finance, and community leaders from across the country convened for the first-ever National Tribal Housing Ecosystem Summit. The Summit inspired wide-ranging discussions focused on a common theme: a desire to create homes and invest in communities across Indian Country, all while building upon the strength of Native American history, culture, and values. Our Executive Director Ralphine Caldwell took a moment to share about our amazing partnership with Fifth Third Bank and Enterprise Community Partners, which supports resident led initiatives in West Charlotte. The Empowering Black Futures Program has supported our grassroots partners in achieving initiatives that they imagined to be more long-term, but that are now coming to fruition. This includes projects like The Legacy at Carr Heights that offers 120 senior apartments, developed in partnership with the West Side Community Land Trust (West Side CLT) that will maintain ownership of the land. We are incredibly thankful for our partners and the many opportunities that they are helping the community to bring to life. #TogetherwecanTogetherwewill #CommunityDevelopment #LISC

More than half of renters are cost-burdened, and the costs to buy and maintain a home are among the highest in decades. In the midst of an election year, we are in an housing affordability crisis that is both broad and deep, and extends beyond high-cost urban areas. Our CEO and President Shaun Donovan writes in Affordable Housing Finance magazine about the challenges of the housing crisis and the urgent need for bipartisan solutions. https://bit.ly/3U72nD5

Affordable housing advocate. Former HUD secretary and OMB director. Dad/husband. CEO and President of Enterprise Community Partners.
Thank you to Health Management Associates for hosting this critical conversation on the intersection of health and homelessness. We know what works to end homelessness in America: housing and services. It requires focus, resources, and dedication, and we've seen communities from Houston to Chattanooga to Minneapolis taking major strides to cut street homelessness and ensure more folks have the homes they need to thrive. Enterprise Community Partners is proud to have so many partners - including health care organizations - that are willing to make the investments to strengthen their communities and help us end homelessness as we know it.
"We are going through the deepest housing crisis that I have seen in three decades of working in housing and community development. New and innovative models are emerging to adapt to the current crisis, but we know - we have the data - that Housing First works for the vast majority of people." - Shaun Donovan Enterprise Community Partners #HMACon2024

I am glad that I was part of the Scaling Supply Solutions housing forum co-hosted by Enterprise Community Partners and JPMorganChase where I moderated a great panel discussion with three experts working to cut through the red tape to create more housing: Tobias Peter, Mike Kingsella, and ANGELA BROOKS, FAICP. Congratulations to the graduates! We're proud to support the future of the affordable housing industry.
Today, we celebrated the 100th graduate of the Housing Career Pathways program! 🎓 We marked this important milestone with a ceremony for our most recent grads, alumni and partners. Participants of the program’s seventh cohort received 4 weeks of full-time training on the affordable housing industry, digital skills, and job readiness, followed by an 80-hour paid internship to prepare them for a role in a crucially important sector. Since 2022, more than 30 affordable housing property management firms and employers have hosted interns or hired graduates from the program – and we continue to grow. We’re proud to be offering New Yorkers a launching pad to a new and exciting career while allowing them to meaningfully contribute to their communities. Thank you Enterprise Community Partners, NYC Department of Housing Preservation & Development and New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) for your partnership and congratulations to all the graduates for their hard work! Special thank you also to Baaba K Halm, Ahmed Tigani, and Lisa Bova-Hiatt for speaking today. For more information on the Housing Career Pathways program, visit our website: https://lnkd.in/eHc9xf7w

Congratulations to Providence Community Housing on its recent U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development award for climate-focused retrofits to St. John Berchman's Manor, home to 150 seniors in New Orleans' Gentilly neighborhood. We proudly worked with Providence on rehabbing this housing after Hurricane Katrina, and we are excited to see this work will ensure the Manor continues to operate sustainably and resiliently for those who call it home. https://bit.ly/3YkyjGv

Homes like Highland Terrace and Green Park – one newly opened, the other soon to be under construction – demonstrate our commitment to ensuring that no community is left behind in the green energy transition. Both developments in the historic Highland Park neighborhood of Richmond, Virginia, are on track to meet the Department of Energy’s Zero Energy Ready Homes and our own Green Communities certifications. Two decades ago, there was no playbook for making homes affordable and green. So we created our own: today, 160,000 affordable homes across 32 states meet the Green Communities standard. And we’re just getting started. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gC4QKbRm

Big news! We're excited to support our Equitable Path Forward partner, People's Housing+, on this transformative project. By combining affordable housing with an essential resource like early childhood education, they’re creating a vibrant community hub that will benefit families and strengthen the neighborhood. Congrats to People's Housing+, Leah Rogan, and our #NMTC team! 👏
Enterprise Community Partners is so proud and excited to partner with People’s Housing+ and Alembic Community Development on such an innovative New Markets Tax Credit deal! This #adaptivereuse project exemplifies what #NMTC does best: stimulate local business with high-quality community resources and services. The $6.5 million investment in Louisiana Avenue Firehouse will transform a long-vacant, 100-plus-year-old fire station into a mixed-use building with childhood development services and permanent affordable housing. The ground floor’s early childhood education center will serve up to 65 students and create or retain 13 jobs, while the upper floor will be converted into seven one- and two-bedroom units available to residents at 50%, 60%, and 80% of the area median income. The firehouse is located in a transit- and amenity-rich neighborhood in New Orleans, with a medical center, retail options, and a grocery store nearby. Congratulations to @phplusnola+, one of our Equitable Path Forward partners! Enterprise uses NMTC investments to finance a broad spectrum of high-impact developments across the country.
