Eriez Magnetic Drums in housing separators are utilized to remove both large and small pieces of iron contaminants. How do they work? When the material reaches the drum, the magnetic field attracts ferrous particles to the drum shell. As the drum rotates, the nonmagnetic material falls freely from the shell, while the magnetic particles are held until they are transferred out of the magnetic field.
