🫶🏾 When you're addressing #financialtoxicity in cancer care, it's critical to meet people where they are. That's why we partner with community-based nonprofits and local specialty organizations to reach Black and Hispanic/Latino communities through people they already know and trust. Together we're removing financial barriers to care by helping people catch up on housing and utility payments, arranging free meal deliveries, and securing safe rides to treatment. Financial support for families facing cancer
About us
Treatment requires more than medicine — families need a roof over their heads and food on their tables to survive. If a family can’t meet these basic needs, cancer treatment takes a back seat. Family Reach is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works with patients, providers, and community organizations to challenge the systems that force families to choose between their health and their home. Together, we’re making financial treatment a standard of cancer care.

Messages like these fuel our mission every day. 💜💚 Financial interventions can be life-changing for people with cancer — even boosting survival rates by 27%. This work wouldn't be possible without funders like 2seventy bio and Eisai US. Thank you for being a lifeline for families facing #financialtoxicity.

People get diagnosed with cancer. People with jobs, families, and busy lives. Yesterday at Reuters Pharma and Patient USA, we brought Raquel, Michael, Joe, and Nicole on stage to share how cancer upends peoples' lives, forcing them to miss work, skip rent payments, and question if they can afford the gas to their care centers each week. Their stories remind us that treatment requires more than medicine — families need a roof over their heads and food in their fridges to survive cancer. Thank you to this powerful team for their honesty and vulnerability. Together, we can build a world where every person facing cancer can meet their basic needs.💜💚
What a presentation! Huge thanks to Carla Tardif, Family Reach on shining the ultimate spotlight on true lived experiences of patients. And a huge thanks to Joe Chabot, Nicole Perkins, Raquel Rohlfing and Michael Longo for sharing your stories. The audience were truly moved. #REpatientUSA

Over 300,000 people are facing cancer in the states impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Like their neighbors, they are trying to rebuild, source food, and repair water-damaged vehicles. Family Reach is working directly with our network of oncology professionals in those areas to determine where our support is needed and do what we can to help patients maintain access to treatment. 🩵 If you've been looking for a way to help, this is your sign. Give today, and your donation will directly support patients impacted by the devastation: https://bit.ly/402lEcD

We're proud to be founding launch partners for DAF day — a new kind of giving day to redefine how donor-advised funds are used, and who uses them. On #DAFDay and every day, supporters can donate via DAF to stand up to #financialtoxicity in cancer care. ➡️ https://lnkd.in/g5ibeXBN

This #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth, understanding the financial hardship of a diagnosis is critical to spreading awareness about research, screenings, and treatment access. 🩷 We must ensure patients can afford their basic needs first and foremost — our data shows that people with #breastcancer face higher rates of food, utility, and housing insecurity than other cancer types. 🩷 Join us in uplifting the voices and stories of those affected by breast cancer. Together, we can work toward a world where no one has to worry about empty fridges or missed phone bills while facing the emotional and physical challenges of cancer.

"Where does someone work after they had a bone-marrow transplant and they have a brand new immune system?" ➡️ Thousands of people ask themselves questions like this as they juggle their career and cancer — The Wall Street Journal shared a few of their stories. ➡️ Every minute focused on financial stress is a minute not focused on healing. Until policies and systems shift, nonprofits will play the critical role of filling in the gaps.
