Each of our programs are designed to create stronger, more resilient communities across Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Mission Statement: Our mission is to protect and strengthen Long Island’s most vulnerable children, families, seniors, and communities. Vision Statement: We believe in the potential of Long Island - a place where no child, senior, family or community is left to struggle with barriers to health care, education employment or economic prosperity. Long Island continues to be one of the greatest place in the the world to live and raise a family for many; we exist to ensure that be the case for all.

Had the chance to speak with a couple hundred nurses and nursing students today about children’s mental health and the need to eliminate stigma and other barriers to care. We should thank our nurses more often, because like social workers, they are angels among us.

Newsday's editorial published today on legislation pending before the Suffolk County Legislature that would prevent the the county from contracting with nonprofits where any executive makes more than the Governor hits all the key points and urges the bill's defeat. It also rightly calls out the intrusion into HIPAA-protected spaces by lawmakers looking to score political points. Please share this as widely as possible and join us for a public hearing on the bill next Tuesday (10/1) at 2:00PM in Hauppauge.
