FHWA continues to invest in infrastructure to improve nationally significant bridges that connect communities, support the economy, and serve as critical corridors for freight travel. Recently, FHWA's Shailen Bhatt and Tennessee DOT announced a large bridge grant, totaling $242M, to help replace the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge in North Carolina. This crucial step will ensure safer and more efficient travel on a key corridor in the state. This grant is part of an announcement of more than $5 billion in Large Bridge Project awards through FHWA’s competitive Bridge Investment Program: https://lnkd.in/eg5Zm4zn #BridgeImprovement #BipartisanInfrastructureLaw #InvestingInAmerica
