Thought for the Day: Nonprofit growth starts with strong relationships. Ask yourself—how much of your time is spent on transactions vs. fostering genuine connections with key stakeholders? Donors, partners, your board, corporate sponsors, and even your program beneficiaries all thrive on meaningful engagement. It’s not about spending more time, but about the right kind of time. Build a community that people want to belong to. #NonprofitLeadership #RelationshipBuilding #CommunityEngagement #NonprofitGrowth #SportsPhilanthropy #AthletesCharities

There has been incredible action in sports over the last few years and many aspects have fundamentally changed: NIL rights for collegiate athletes and shifting NCAA landscapes; the increase in marketing and broadcast of women's sports and the exponential fan engagement; the rise of new sports (pickleball anyone)?; and more. One thing has remained constant: the ability of sport to transcend the game and build community. We see firsthand how athletes and teams lift people and organizations and it's a beautiful thing. That's all. Just our thought for the day.

Last week was a busy one that included a 350-person fundraising event, and a 200-person event at the ballpark for #schwarbersneighborhoodheroes. This is an applause post for teams: teams that know their roles and star in them. When individual team members (and, in our case, volunteers) play to their strengths and execute per plan, it’s beautiful, and feels seemingly low-effort. The result? More than 550 guests smiling, happy, and closer to the cause. Cheers to teamwork! And applause for Team Firefly and our volunteers in particular! 👏🏻 #sportsphilanthropy #teamwork

This was a fun one! Thanks for the shout out Kevin Saghy!
Kyle Schwarber's mammoth home runs have gained a reputation for being "Schwarbombs." Schwarber's Neighborhood Heroes creatively launched the Schwarbomb Squad to leverage these homers for good, as each fan who donates just $10 may win anything from shirts to signed memorabilia. Kyle seems motivated to reward supporters, as he launched two Schwarbombs tonight! ⚾⚾ Kudos to Jeff Magee and Connie Falcone for the creativity that connects fandom with fundraising! Here's the link to donate: https://lnkd.in/gvyXFrmy #Phillies #SchwarbombSquad #Client
Schwarbers Neighborhood Heroes on Instagram: "Today we launch the SCHWARBOMB SQUAD! From today onwards, anyone who makes a $10 donation or more has a chance to receive a special item from Kyle every time he hits a home run! Everyone who donates $10 or more receives an SNH pin! Here’s what’s up for grabs: ⚾️ Next home run: 10 SCHWARBOMB Squad shirts ⚾️ Following home run: A signed baseball ⚾️ Anoth

We work at the intersection of sports and philanthropy. We help athletes or teams use their influence or resources to drive positive social impact. And we also help organizations that use sports to drive social change. Are you a nonprofit using sports-based programs to deliver on your mission? We'd love to hear how you implement sports to create powerful results.

Our client, Kyle Schwarber, spent Tuesday in the community saying thanks at the 3rd district police station in South Philly then hosted first responder families from Families Behind the Badge Children's Foundation at the game that night. The following night he does this. Coincidence? We think not. #sportsphilanthropy #kyleschwarber #schwarbersneighborhoodheroes #community #schwarbombs

By now, the world knows the excitement of women’s basketball (which, by the way, was always there). What excites us most is the female stars of this year’s March Madness are building off-court legacies as well. Caitlin Clark (caitlinclarkfoundation.org) and Angel Reese (angelcreesefoundation.org) have their own foundations, and Paige Bueckers insists her NIL deals have a charity or community component are some examples. Bravo to these fierce females for using their platform for good. #sportsphilanthropy Caitlin Clark Foundation #angelreese #paigebueckers #marchmadness

Today is Opening Day for my friends at the Chicago Cubs. As I was entering the stadium, a fan shared he took a day off of work, and plans to sit in lousy Chicago spring weather because he couldn’t miss seeing his beloved team’s home opener. Let’s bottle that collective passion we all share for sports and channel it for good!
