We are excited to host our 2nd event in our monthly series called Tech Connect: Bridging the Gap through Esports and Technology. These social gaming and networking events are for students aged 12 to 20 so please bring them to The Performers Academy in #Jacksonville on Saturday, Oct 5th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. We'll have games setup to play on Gaming PCs and Laptops, Nintendo Switch and Virtual Reality systems. Parents, we'll have some guitar hero on the Wii and other games for you as well. We'd like to recognize and thank to Rebecca Williams with Club Challenge of Orange Park for providing snacks and drinks for the gamers during last month's event. They enjoyed it so much, I didn't have time to take a photo of it all before it was gone! Also, Florida State College at Jacksonville Computer Networking Instructor Cheryl Schmidt was on hand to showcase some IP Phones, Routers and Switches. And she even brought some cool swag to give away. Cheryl and FSCJ will be back again next week and she is bringing out some Raspberry Pi devices to play around with. And speaking of Pi, Leaderboard Arcade, Bar & Pizzeria will be providing another type of Pie for the kids.....Pizza Pies! So good. These events are made possible in part through community grants and support from the United Way of Northeast Florida, City of Jacksonville and Kids Hope Alliance. If you would like to help us continue with these events, please consider a contribution. You can make a donation on our website at firstcoastesports.org #Esports #Education #Events

🌟🎮 Yesterday, we hosted 26 kids in the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida, from Annie R. Morgan Elementary, for an exciting day of gaming as part of our Summer Gaming Experience. Their theme this week is "Sports", so we invited them to explore ESPORTS at the Keiser University Seahawks Esports Lab in Jax! 🏆 Thanks Gabe Sommella for your hospitality! The young gamers enjoyed playing Fortnite and Rocket League; plus, Sofia, our Roblox Club President, led some epic mini-games and challenges that kept everyone engaged.🕹️🚀 But the excitement doesn’t end here! Over the next two Mondays, we’ll be hosting Game Developer, Matthew McCloud, from the Museum of Science Boston. 🎉👾 Huge thanks to our supporters and generous donors. Together, we’re making a positive impact, one game at a time! 🙌💖 Kids Hope Alliance ___ #summergamingexperience #esports #fortnite #rocketleague #roblox #gaming #gamingforgood #nonprofitgaming #keiserjax #bgcnfl #jaxfl #museumofscience #firstcoastesports #gamedevelopment #youthesports
