**Navigating Change** Attending the 2024 FINRA Annual Conference in Washington, DC as a part of their HBCU Professorship Program. The theme is "Navigating Change". FINRA leaders are especially attentive to how AI developments and crypto assets are changing the landscape of the financial services industry; and how regulators and member firms can adapt. Business school instruction must adapt as well, so I'm excited to bring this focus back home to FAMU SBI students and fellow faculty.

Place 3rd in the Goldman Sachs Case Study Competition! Last week Monday, I had the pleasure of competing in the final round of the Goldman Sachs Market Madness: HBCU Possibilities Program and placed 3rd out of 27 teams, winning Florida A&M $250,000. I want to give all glory to God for providing my team with this opportunity. Throughout this competition, I worked alongside Christina Owens, Falonne Michel, and Troed Williams. We stayed up late many nights and put significant effort into our presentation, so I have to give them their flowers. I would also like to thank our coach, Justice Powell, for always being honest, telling us when our presentation was terrible but also letting us know when we did a good job. He guided our team, and I honestly say we would not have made it to the finals without him. Over the past four months, I have had the opportunity to learn more about the different divisions within Goldman Sachs. Additionally, I learned about key financial concepts, further enriching my knowledge about the financial industry. I am immensely grateful for the invaluable experience. Thank you, Goldman Sachs!
