Earlier this week Forrester Construction joined representatives of DC Courts and Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes-Norton for a ribbon cutting ceremony, celebrating the completion of the C Street Addition to the courthouse. This project included a 52,000 SF extension, moving the building 36 feet closer to C Street, and revitalizing 226,000 SF of existing space. The addition enhances public circulation and introduces new courtrooms, judge’s chambers, a grand lobby, jury rooms and support spaces. The project is also seeking LEED Platinum certification. We’re proud to contribute to the renovation and expansion of this historic landmark! #DCCourthouse #BuildingHistory #LEEDPlatinum #Construction #ForresterConstruction

Last week, Forrester Construction had the pleasure of hosting a farewell fiesta for our summer interns. The event was catered by Chipotle and featured a competitive game of cornhole afterwards. Executive Vice President, Dan Baker, began the festivities with a toast to the interns for their upcoming senior year. Some of the interns' favorite moments from their internship included: 1. Scott Eckenrode from Virginia, majoring in Building Construction. Scott's favorite moment was bowling and hanging out with his project team. 2. Grady Espinal from Catholic University, majoring in Civil Engineering. Grady's favorite moment was connecting with various subcontractors. 3. Bennett Newland from Northern Virginia Community College, majoring in Construction Management. Bennett's favorite moment was visiting project sites. Best of luck to Scott, Grady, and Bennett! 🌟

This past week our summer interns toured our Kensington of Bethesda project! During Forrester end of summer tours the interns are able to learn about Forrester’s projects and the unique features each of these projects has. During the Kensington of Bethesda tour the interns learned about post-tension concrete and got to see the post-tension cables being installed on the roof level deck. We are so happy that they chose to join the Forrester Team this summer and can’t wait to see all they accomplish in their careers!
