Last week, we topped out at the site of new UMD graduate housing in College Park, MD! The 323,000-SF Leonardtown Development will include 741 new living spaces and provide access to the university as well as transit (both current and future, Purple Line fans!). Shout out to the project team including Campus Apartments Mosaic Development Partners JV and Smoot Construction Company of Washington DC for being incredible partners -- let's take it to the finish line 💪

We saw a lot in 2024—construction spending increases in both public and private sectors, unemployment rate decreases, and more. But what does the future hold? Between upcoming tariffs, government workers returning to the office, and emerging market sectors, there are a lot of variables. DAVIS' State of the Market Report covers it all, and you can unlock the full report on our website! READ NOW: https://lnkd.in/eTxwq9j3

We were recently fortunate enough to receive two Subby Awards from American Subcontractors Association of Metro Washington - Best Over $500 Million General Contractor for Base Building and Interiors! The partnerships we build with our tradespeople on each project are incredibly important to the way we do business, and it's an honor to be recognized among so many incredible companies and individuals. Thank you to everyone who plays a role in building our projects, and congratulations to all the 2025 Subby Award winners 💪

This week, we partnered with NAWIC DC Chapter #67 to host an exclusive site tour at The Stacks - Launch Workplaces with DAVIS' all-women project team! Those on the tour got to see firsthand how the team is leading this exciting new space on all fronts, from project management to execution. Afterwards, the tour continued at The Point DC for an evening of networking and connection. As we kick off this year’s Women In Construction Week, we’re celebrating the hardworking and talented women that are critical to the success of each DAVIS project. From the job site to the office, they make an impact across every role. The theme of this year’s WIC Week is “Together We Rise” 💪 WIC Week events are happening from now until March 8 throughout the industry—we’ve compiled a short list on the DAVIS website. Let’s continue to build and support a diverse and inclusive workforce!

This Black History Month, we were proud to host an Open House with several of our trusted Minority Business Enterprise(MBE) partners and hear directly from them about their businesses’ stories, their collaboration strategies, as well as the ins and outs of accreditation. Thank you to Harvey Yancey from H2 Design Build, Andre Levrone from A.L.L Construction, Brunson Cooper from Corenic Construction and Jim Simpson + Jay Simpson from Continental Construction for providing these insights at our Rockville HQ. This event was created by Mosaic, our Multicultural Employee Resource Group that gives employees across all cultural backgrounds opportunities to connect and build their career.
