That includes protecting the people responsible for providing—and seeking—government services wherever they may be: at work, at home, and on travel. #FPSDHS has developed a series of personal safety and security awareness materials, including tip and fact sheets, as part of our ongoing commitment to enable employees, customers, stakeholders, and the public to keep safe— #YourSafetyOurPriority. This initiative provides information on how you can remain vigilant and increase your personal safety in the office and outside of work. #YourSafetyOurPriority is part of #FPSDHS’s broader mission to enhance public safety through preventive measures and awareness. Through 2024 and the beginning of 2025, #FPSDHS will publish periodic messages providing actionable tips to help individuals stay safe and will focus on specific topics such as: Identifying and reporting bomb threats, preventing doxing, recognizing insider threats, and other critical topics. READINESS If you’re at work and receive a written bomb threat: • Handle the document as little as possible • Note date, time, and location the document was found • Secure the document and do not alter the item in any way • Notify your supervisor and organization leadership REPORTING: Retain all information regarding the incident (such as usernames, email addresses, websites, phone numbers, or names of platforms, etc.) and report it to local law enforcement. Dial 911 immediately if a suspicious item is discovered or the threat is elevated.
