The Ministry of Defense, Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF), and the Association for Israel's Soldiers signed a historic agreement to establish a National Center for Mental Health and Resilience for active-duty and reserve IDF soldiers, the first of its kind. With a $40M donation from FIDF, this new center will focus on prevention, diagnosis, and treatment to help soldiers reintegrate into active service and lead healthy lives post-release. The center will include a research and development department for mental health, trauma, and resilience; workshops for IDF commanders on PTSD prevention; psychotherapy and rehabilitation services; and training for caregivers. This initiative will provide holistic care for post-trauma victims of the Iron Swords War and marks a historic milestone in supporting the mental strength and well-being of IDF soldiers. FIDF is the only U.S. nonprofit working directly with IDF leadership, supporting Israel’s soldiers, every day. Join us in leading the charge to care for soldiers with PTSD: https://lnkd.in/erKqk9nA

✨ Inauguration of the PEIMA IDF National Center for Mental Health and Resilience ✨ Funded by #FIDF. The IDF National Center for Mental Health and Resilience was officially inaugurated on August 20th in Tel Aviv. Leaders from across Israel Defense Forces and AFIS joined forces to launch this vital facility, providing much-needed support for active-duty soldiers dealing with PTSD and other challenges. 🎖 Highlights from the event included inspiring words from top Israeli military leaders, including Brigadier General Eli Azar, Major General Yaniv Asor, Major General (Res.) Yoram Yair and FIDF National Chairman, Morey Levovitz (seen in the photograph). We’re proud to witness the start of this first-ever center dedicated to active IDF soldiers' mental health, which will offer essential care to those who serve and protect us. We salute Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer for their partnership in the support, care, and treatment of IDF soldiers with PTSD #MentalHealth #IDF #Resilience #PTSDSupport #StrengthInService #PEIMACenter
