After a restoration faithful to the vision of Mark Rothko and his patrons, the Menils, the Rothko Chapel reopened to the public on September 24. George Sexton Associates working with Architecture Research Office (ARO), restored the original lighting conditions that were designed by Rothko.

This renovated hotel ballroom at the Berkely Hotel provides a flexible, elegant experience for its guests. GSA designed a flexible lighting system with automated remote-control lighting, allowing for precise lighting to multiple pre-set table arrangements and colour changing for a variety of uses. For the mirrored centerpiece, GSA designed a dynamic LED light installation that sparkles and moves in relation to the angle of vision. George Sexton Associates was contracted to do the daylighting, interior, and exterior lighting design services for this biometric technology facility for the US Federal Bureau of Investigation located in Clarksburg, VA. The 375,000 SF research facility has open plan workspaces that foster a collaborative environment for the building’s 1,300 employees as well as floor-to-ceiling windows that provide views of the surrounding landscape and interior courtyard. GSA developed energy-saving lighting controls that met the project’s sustainability goals. This project earned LEED Gold certification. The Dining Pavilion at the Wormsley Estate, home to the Garsington Opera in Buckinghamshire, UK, houses Jeff Koons' "Cracked Egg" sculpture. It is an entertainment space accessed via a footbridge, offering a modern reinterpretation of 18th-century pavilions. The pavilion features a dimmable luminous ceiling, flexible halogen slot lighting, and a bridge indirectly illuminated by linear LEDs reflecting off of the water. The extending luminous ceiling on the veranda creates a floating effect in the evening.
