About us
Geothermal Rising (GR) is the largest and oldest geothermal membership organization in the world. GR serves to build community and empower the geothermal industry by aligning all geothermal technologies and applications. The heating, cooling, and electricity benefits from geothermal technologies come from geothermal/ground source heat pumps; direct use and thermal energy networks; drilling and rig operations; turbine manufacturing; and conventional hydrothermal, engineered/enhanced, closed-loop/advanced, and supercritical hot rock processes. GR is a nonprofit educational association, community organizer, and research organization. GR actively seeks to amplify its role as a primary professional and educational association for the international geothermal community and serve as a focal point for continuing professional development for its members and external audiences through its outreach, education, information transfer, and education services

Another GRC Workshop to know about 💡 𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬 (𝐆𝐏𝐅𝐀) Geothermal Play Fairway Analysis (GPFA) is an exploration process adopted to geothermal, that integrates data of critical risk elements inherent to that specific geothermal play type. The key function of GPFA is to reduce risk and increase focus for improving exploration success rates. GPFA begins at the regional/basin scale, and progressively focuses on the play scale to examine the critical risk element data and highlight which play areas have the highest likelihood of success (prospects). One of GR’s four-legged ambassadors, Millie, had a blast celebrating #WorldGeothermalEnergyDay yesterday! 🐕 🌍 She loved meeting so many new people enthusiastic about #geothermal, won the costume contest (dressed up as a 2024 GRC attendee) and even got to tour a microseismic monitoring truck! Thanks to MicroSeismic, Inc. for the great event! And a big thank you to Analiese Andersen, Kerry Fellers and Anine Pedersen!

Today we celebrate the power of the earth beneath our feet – geothermal. It can be used as an energy source to generate electricity, to heat and cool homes, and importantly, to celebrate good times with friends and family: https://bit.ly/3R9HNAs Join us in celebrating #WorldGeothermalEnergyDay -- https://bit.ly/3R9HNAs

🗣️ PANEL ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE GRC 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭-𝐓𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐩 𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬: 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 🗓️: Tuesday, October 29, 2024 ⏰: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM 📍: Monarchy (Grand Ballroom) Ambient-temperature loop thermal energy networks, or district energy systems, are growing in popularity as a solution to decarbonize heating and cooling loads. However, despite a growing number of installations, they are still often looked upon as niche or bespoke solutions. We seek to gather leaders from a variety of backgrounds such as industry, government, national labs, and academia to discuss lessons learned from existing systems, current research, and demonstration activities, and a pathway toward widespread deployment of such systems. We hope this panel will provide a forum for engineers, researchers, developers, and other stakeholders in ambient temperature thermal energy networks and can facilitate transfer of knowledge from operating field sites to modelers and new developers. Moderators: Koenraad Beckers and Juliet G Simpson Panelists: Arlene A. James Tinjum Nicholas Fry Zeyneb Magavi Ryan C. Cahalan Learn more about the panel here: https://bit.ly/3BJdhsm
